Welcome to Canterbury Dressage

Canterbury Dressage was established 65 years ago by a group of riders and volunteers who shared the passion of creating a harmonious partnership with their horse.  They achieved this through gaining knowledge, applying correct training and with the support and friendship of like-minded others.  This philosophy remains the same today.

Being a branch of Equestrian Sports New Zealand (ESNZ) who are the umbrella body of equestrian sports in New Zealand we adhere to their guiding rules and principles.

We are located at the beautiful grounds of the South Island National Equestrian Centre – McLeans Island where there are top quality facilities including numerous all weather arenas, covered yards, camping facilities along with jumping and hacking areas.

Canterbury Dressage provides regular competitions for all level of riders from unregistered through to those competing at the highest level.  We aim to provide education and coaching events to promote development opportunities for all levels of riders and horses.

Our Judges are trained and required to pass National and International standard assessments therefore we are able to provide you with quality judging.

A very hard working and dedicated team of volunteers manage all our events and without them we would not be able to provide you with the very successful branch of Canterbury Dressage.

Everyone is Welcome. We look forward to seeing you at our next event and invite you to get involved!

supporters,

Usually we run a silent auction to raise additional funds at Canterbury Champs, this year we will be running an Online Auction before the event.

We are seeking donated goods or services that we can use to be auctioned either as single items, or to be included in a couple of hampers. If you have any things you’d like to donate, horsey or non-horsey we would be sincerely grateful. E.G: lesson’s, massage’s (horse or human), beauty products, horse gear, homewares, wine, gourmet pantry items, etc etc...

Please contact Cherie Pearson, Sarah Cornwall or Sally Goldsmith, or message this page to arrange drop off before 31 October.

Thanks for your support.
